Shwetank Verma is an Innovation Partner at Pentara Capital, bringing extensive experience in venture capital, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He is also Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Leo Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm with offices in Singapore, Helsinki, Delhi, and Bangalore. Based in Singapore, he leads Leo Capital’s investment activity outside of India, with a focus on Southeast
Asia, the United States, and Europe.
At Leo Capital, Shwetank has built a strong track record in B2B investments, with a personal passion for digital health, InsurTech, and fintech. He is particularly focused on connecting global founders to opportunities in India and scaling innovation across international markets.
Previously, Shwetank was Head of Open Innovation at MetLife Asia, where he created and launched “Collab,” a platform that linked emerging technologies—including AI, blockchain, and AR/VR—with enterprise problem statements. His work accelerated cultural and technological transformation across the organisation and has since influenced corporate innovation globally.
Earlier in his career, Shwetank founded and scaled businesses in the healthcare and education sectors. He is a Chartered Accountant (ACA), holds a BSc in Economics and Econometrics from the University of Nottingham, and has completed executive education programs at NUS, ISB, and Harvard Business School.
