Ken Mohan brings more than 25 years of international experience in insurance, financial services, and strategic advisory.
Prior to Pentara, Ken was the Head of Retirement & Health Insurance for MetLife across Asia (incl. India, China, Japan, Korea, SE Asia) and Australia. MetLife in Asia is a business with ~$10B revenue, ~$2B earnings, and $120B AUM. At MetLife, Ken has held leadership roles in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Ken has served in a breadth of global, regional and country roles spanning Distribution, Product, Strategy, Administration, Digital, and M&A. In addition to his executive role, he served on the Board of Punjab National Bank MetLife - the Insurance arm of India’s 2nd largest Public Sector Bank.
Earlier in his career, Ken worked in J.P. Morgan’s investment banking team, advising banks, insurers, and asset managers on M&A, capital raising, and restructuring. He began his career as a technology entrepreneur, holding leadership roles in venture-backed start-ups and Bell Labs.
Ken holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (First Class with Distinction) from Osmania University, a Master’s in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Yale University.
