Ken Mohan

Managing Director

Ken Mohan is Managing Director of Pentara Capital, with more than 25 years of international experience in insurance, financial services, and strategic advisory. Before co-founding Pentara, he advised financial institutions and fintech companies on strategy, operations, governance, and distribution.

He spent over a decade at MetLife in senior leadership roles across Tokyo, Hong Kong, and New York, most recently as Senior Vice President and Head of Retirement & Health for MetLife Asia and a member of the Asia Executive Leadership Group. In this role, he oversaw product strategy and portfolio management across nine markets—including Japan, Korea, India, China, and Southeast Asia—and served on the board of PNB MetLife, the insurance arm of India’s second-largest public sector bank.

Earlier in his career, Ken worked in J.P. Morgan’s investment banking team, advising banks, insurers, and asset managers on M&A, capital raising, and restructuring. He began his career as a technology entrepreneur, holding leadership roles in venture-backed start-ups and at Bell Labs.

Ken holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (First Class with Distinction) from Osmania University, a Master’s in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Yale University.
